We are really pleased you are here looking for help to keep you and your baby happy and healthy through the amazing months to come.

At Pilates Avenue we want to support you with this aim.

Our holistic Bump to Birth programme has you covered. We have expertly designed this programme to support mums-to-be; helping you as your body changes. Our aim is for you to feel strong, feel confident, and to help you limit your stress throughout your pregnancy and beyond. Plus you get to spend time with other mums-to-be who know exactly where you are coming from.

Our programme is designed for mum’s to be. It incorporates breathing exercises that help mummy (and baby) manage daily stresses, Pilates-based exercises that focus on keeping your whole body and especially your pelvic floor strong for pregnancy, birth and beyond, we will finish our sessions with a lovely relaxation which should help you to have a great night’s sleep.

Our classes are limited to 8 ladies which means that we can really support each person in the room.

You will also get to spend over an hour every week with other ladies who understand what is happening to you and your body, they will understand your joy and your fears they will help to support your journey. Plus within the group, your baby’s first best friend might even be made.

Our Bump to Birth class runs on Thursdays from 6:45 pm to 7:45 pm

Class fees – £50.00 for a block of 5 classes.

Exercise has so many benefits during pregnancy here are just a few –

Improves mood and sleep, we have included relaxation and breathing exercises within our programme specifically to help you with this.

Weight gain during pregnancy is not only natural but essential as you are building another little person. Many women worry about gaining “too much” weight; regular exercise can help you to maintain a healthy weight.

Regular exercise and movement can also help your body to adapt to the physical changes you will experience during pregnancy including reducing the incidences/severity of back issues.

Most importantly; regular exercise especially those that focus on the pelvic floor muscles reduces the risk of urinary incontinence (so you can still jump up and down on a trampoline or the bed when your baby is older).

Who is our class suitable for –

If prior to pregnancy you were exercising regularly you would be able to join our programme at any time. If you haven’t been exercising regularly it is important that you introduce exercise slowly and regularly; the current guidance recommends starting with 3 x 15 minutes of continuous exercise per week. We recommend that you speak to your care provider prior to starting our exercise programme if you are less than 12 weeks pregnant, have any health or medical issues that may affect your pregnancy or if you are having multiple babies.

Our Bump to Birth class runs on Thursdays from 6:45 pm to 7:45 pm

Class fees – £50.00 for a block of 5 classes.
